TexasData E-Mail on your iPhone/iPod Touch
  Last update: 2013-06-18 19:12

Step 1: Turn on your iPhone/iPod Touch, locate the SETTINGS app (looks like a series of gears) and tap on it.

Step 2: In the SETTINGS app, scroll down the page until you find MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDARS, and tap on it.

Step 3: Now locate and tap on ADD ACCOUNT...

Step 4: Tap OTHER at the bottom of the email services list.

Step 5: Once the next screen appears, tap on ADD MAIL ACCOUNT.

Step 6: Now fill out your information accordingly by tapping on each field to fill them out. We are using an example name and address here. You will need to put your own name in, as well as your own email address and your password. Once you enter this information, tap the SAVE button at the top of the screen.

NOTE: If you do not currently have a email account, and are a customer, then you are entitled to two email accounts with us. For more information, please contact us and we will help setup an email account for you today!

Step 7: In this screen, ensure that you tap on POP, as this is a POP account, and that the INCOMING MAIL SERVER and OUTGOING MAIL SERVER sections both have entered as the HOST NAME.

Also, make certain that your full TexasData email address is entered under the USER NAME fields and your email password is entered in the PASSWORD fields.

Once you have entered and verified these settings, please tap the SAVE button near the top of the screen.

Step 8 (additional): You may be asked if you want to setup the account without SSL. If so, tap the YES button.

Step 9 (additional): You may also be told that the account verification failed if you're in an area with no cell service. If so, tap the SAVE button anyway.

Congratulations! Your setup of email on your iPhone/iPod is complete.
