Step 1: Open Outlook 2007. If a Mail Setup Wizard opens automatically, please close/cancel it and continue with the steps shown in this guide.
Once Outlook 2007 is open, click the TOOLS menu at the top, then select ACCOUNT SETTINGS.
Step 2: In the ACCOUNT SETTINGS window, locate and click the NEW... button.
Step 3: In this window, ensure that MICROSOFT EXCHANGE, POP3, IMAP OR HTTP is selected, then click NEXT.
Step 4: In the next window, ignore the options and fields at the top portion of the window, and simple put a check in the box beside MANUALLY CONFIGURE SERVER SETTINGS OR ADDITIONAL SERVER TYPES, then click NEXT.
Step 5: Once the next window appears, ensure that the INTERNET E-MAIL option is selected, and then click NEXT.
Step 6: Now fill out your information accordingly. We are using an example name and address here. You will need to put your own name in, as well as your own TexasData.net email address.
Ensure that ACCOUNT TYPE is POP3, and that the INCOMING MAIL SERVER and OUTGOING MAIL SERVER (SMTP) are both set tomail.texasdata.net.
Also, make certain that your full TexasData email address is entered under USER NAME, your email password is entered in the PASSWORD field and that the REMEMBER PASSWORD option is checked.
Once you have entered and verified these settings, please click the MORE SETTINGS button near the bottom right corner of the window.
NOTE: If you do not currently have a TexasData.net email account, and are a customer, then you are entitled to two email accounts with us. For more information, please contact us and we will help setup an email account for you today!
Step 7: In this next window that appears, click the OUTGOING SERVER tab at the top, and then place a checkmark in the box beside MY OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP) REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION, then click OK.
Step 8: Now click NEXT, then FINISH and finally CLOSE.
Congratulations! Your configuration of Outlook 2007 is complete.
