 TexasData E-Mail in Outlook 2003
  Last update: 2010-07-21 01:29

Step 1: Open Outlook 2003. If a Mail Setup Wizard opens automatically, please close/cancel it and continue with the steps shown in this guide.

Once Outlook 2003 is open, click the TOOLS menu at the top, then select E-MAIL ACCOUNTS.

Step 2: In the ACCOUNT SETTINGS window, locate and click the NEW... button.

Step 3: Now fill out your information accordingly. We are using an example name and address here. You will need to put your own name in, as well as your own TexasData.net email address.

Ensure that ACCOUNT TYPE is POP3, and that the INCOMING MAIL SERVER and OUTGOING MAIL SERVER (SMTP) are both set to mail.texasdata.net.

Also, make certain that your full TexasData email address is entered under USER NAME, your email password is entered in the PASSWORD field and that the REMEMBER PASSWORD option is checked.

Once you have entered and verified these settings, please click the MORE SETTINGS button near the bottom right corner of the window.

NOTE: If you do not currently have a TexasData.net email account, and are a customer, then you are entitled to two email accounts with us. For more information, please contact us and we will help setup an email account for you today!

Step 4: In this window, click the OUTGOING SERVER tab at the top, and then put a check in the box beside MY OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP) REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION. Then click OK.

Step 5: Click NEXT

Step 6: Click FINISH

Congratulations! Your configuration of Outlook 2003 is complete.
