 TexasData E-Mail in Microsoft Mail (Vista)

Step 1: Open Microsoft Mail. If a Mail Setup Wizard opens automatically, please close/cancel it and continue with the steps shown in this guide.

Once Microsoft Mail is open, click the TOOLS menu at the top, then select ACCOUNTS.


Step 2: In the INTERNET ACCOUNTS window, locate and click the ADD... button.


Step 3: In this window, ensure that E-MAIL ACCOUNT is selected, then click NEXT.


Step 4: Here you will type your full name.


Step 5: In this window, please enter your full email address. The address shown in the image below is an example address.

NOTE: If you do not currently have a email account, and are a customer, then you are entitled to two email accounts with us. For more information, please contact us and we will help setup an email account for you today! 

Step 6: Ensure that INCOMING E-MAIL SERVER TYPE is POP3, and that the INCOMING MAIL SERVER and OUTCOMING MAIL SERVER (SMTP) are both set to Also, ensure that the OUTGOING SERVER REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION option is checked. Once done, click NEXT.


Step 7: In this next window that appears, ensure that your full email address is in the E-MAIL USERNAME field, and that you enter your password in the PASSWORD field. Once done, click NEXT.


Step 8: Now click FINISH!


Congratulations! Your configuration of Microsoft Mail is complete!
