Step 1: Open Outlook Express. If a Setup Wizard opens automatically, please close/cancel it and continue with the steps shown in this guide.

Step 2: Locate and click the TOOLS menu, and then locate and click the ACCOUNTS option.

Step 3: The Internet Accounts window will appear. Click the MAIL tab at the top of the window to select the email accounts list.

Step 4: Once in the mail accounts list, locate the ADD button on the right and click it, then select MAIL...

Step 5: The first thing Outlook Express will ask from you for your new email account is the display name. This is the name people see when they get an email from you. Please enter your name or nickname or pretty much anything you like, and then click NEXT.

Step 6: The next page will ask you for your actual email address. This will be whichever TexasData.net email address you requested we create for you. Once you have entered your address, click NEXT.

NOTE: If you do not currently have a TexasData.net email account, and are a customer, then you are entitled to two email accounts with us. For more information, please contact us and we will help setup an email account for you today!

Step 7: Enter the TexasData.net mail server names on this page. Both INCOMING and OUTGOING servers should both be: mail.texasdata.net

Once your are finished entering the mail server information, click NEXT.

Step 8: Enter your account name and password. The account name will be your full TexasData email address. Once you have this and your password entered, click NEXT.

Step 9: Congratulations! But we still have one last setting to change. Click FINISH.

Step 10: You will be looking at the Internet Accounts window again, this time, with your new TexasData email account listed. With the new TexasData account selected, click the PROPERTIES button on the right side of this window.

Step 11: Under the PROPERTIES window, locate the SERVERS tab at the top and click it...

...then locate the MY SERVER REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION option near the bottom of the window, and put a check in the box beside it...

...then click OK...

...and finally click CLOSE in the Internet Accounts window!

Congratulations! Your configuration of Outlook Express is complete!
